Turning Field Data Into Actionable Intelligence for a National Restaurant Program
A national restaurant client needed reliable, standardized data across a large portfolio of locations to support equipment lifecycle tracking and informed decision-making. Manual processes and inconsistent records made it difficult to get a clear picture across all sites.
PM Design surveyed more than 400 locations using 3D laser scanning technology, capturing complete building data alongside equipment details including make, model, and serial numbers. Each site also received a 360-degree photo tour, giving the client a precise visual record of every location. The scan data was used to produce as-built drawings–floor plans, elevations, and roof plans–with equipment data embedded directly into AutoCAD files using an automated tagging routine. The client was able to pull the data directly into their portfolio-wide tracking system, supporting lifecycle planning and operational decision-making across the entire fleet.
